Credit Crunch hits Rogers Family Hard.....

At the start of 2009 we, The Rogers Family, had a 2 week holiday to Tunisia booked and were looking forward to it with relish. As we stand today, 18th January 2009, we now have an additional 2 holidays booked, making a grand total of 3 for the year!

1. We are travelling to France in May for almost a week to celebrate a landmark birthday of a family member.
2. We are travelling to Tunisia in July for a 2 week family all-inclusive holiday.
3. Only a week ago we found out that my wife has won the Top prize of a holiday after entering the Christmas Competition on the Samsung Mobile Website. The prize she won was a Luxury 1 week break for two in Dubai, UAE.

So there we go, 3 holidays, one year. A first for this family.
The only downside is that with the credit crunch firmly established, we cannot afford to take the kids on the holiday to Dubai.
Oh well we must all make sacrifices..... :)

It's been a while...

Since I last posted I have left my Web Design position with PCC Scotland.

I have a new position as a stop gap that brings in the money I need but it's not by any means the final position I will have.

On the up side, it is enjoyable once more to be working for a company that has a defined sense of where its going and how to get there without harming any of its employees prospects or ethics. It is also reassuring to know that there are no questionable dealings going on as well.

The HEDREDcreative site has slowed a little but will now continue to grow and thrive as a test-bed for my skills and a portfolio for my work in Web Design and Multimedia development.

So watch that space.
